About BookLang

BookLang provides AI translation of EPUB files from the commercially offered source languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and Italian. Available destinations are shown in the selector and confirmed in your quote.

Your files and permissions

You must own the necessary rights, have permission to upload and translate the file, or be entitled to do so because the work is in the public domain under applicable law. Buying a copy does not necessarily grant translation rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of your declaration and for how you use or share the result. Do not upload content unlawfully or bypass copy protection.

You authorize BookLang and its service providers to store, process, translate and deliver your file for this service and to handle related support requests. This does not transfer ownership of your original work to BookLang or grant us permission to publish or sell your book. Translation does not grant rights that you did not already hold in the underlying work.

If you believe a file processed by BookLang infringes your rights, contact [email protected] with your contact details, identification of the work, available information locating the content and an explanation of your rights. We review notices and may restrict access or processing while investigating. A user’s declaration does not remove third parties’ rights or BookLang’s legal obligations.

Analysis, payment and delivery

Analysis is free. We show the word count, language pair and total price before payment. Payments are processed by Stripe in USD. Translation of the full book starts only after payment confirmation. The free preview, when available, follows the rules below. The quote’s 24-hour validity concerns the offered price; it is separate from the delivery estimate.

Our expected delivery time is within 24 hours after payment confirmation. Queues, pauses or checks may extend this time. Keep your order link, do not pay again, and contact support if delivery takes longer or the order needs help. Track progress on the order page. Download is available for 30 days after the result is approved; save a copy. This is a download window, not a promise to erase all files and records after 30 days.

Free preview

For language pairs that offer a preview, you may request a free, fixed excerpt from the first prose chapter, approximately 1,500 words and no more than 1,650, preserving whole paragraphs. You cannot choose the excerpt. Usage limits, an unidentified prose starting point or a processing failure may make the preview unavailable; this does not prevent buying a full-book translation.

An email address is required to receive the link. The preview is available to the browser authorized by the upload and through the emailed link, without an additional code. Anyone with the link can read the original excerpt and its translation and start purchasing that book and destination. The preview email becomes the order recipient. The link does not grant access to the original EPUB or a full-book download; payment requires the current acceptances, and the full-book download follows the order's verification rules.

The preview is automatic AI translation without human review. Excerpt checks do not certify the quality of the whole book. A preview is not book delivery and does not include an EPUB download. The link shows its expiry: no more than 30 days from upload confirmation, potentially earlier when an existing preview is reused. Reuse or resending the link does not renew this period. We send no purchase reminders or follow-up marketing.

Immediate performance and withdrawal

Before payment, you expressly request that translation begin immediately after payment confirmation and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal for the delivered digital content is lost when the translated EPUB is delivered, where that exception applies under mandatory law. The acceptance, timestamp and version of the Terms are recorded with your order and confirmed by email. This does not restrict the quality guarantee or any mandatory rights that remain applicable.

AI translation and quality

Automatic AI translation, without human review. Translation is generated by AI. Automated checks of EPUB structure, coverage and remaining source language do not guarantee literary quality or perfect accuracy. We do not provide a human translator’s review of each book. Errors in meaning, style or formatting may occur. We recommend human review before publication or professional use. These limitations do not remove remedies for a materially defective service.

Support and quality guarantee

Contact [email protected] with the order link and a description of the problem. Do not send card details. We currently reply from the operator’s personal email address. We review requests manually; there is no automatic refund triggered by a status or delay.

If the delivered EPUB is in the wrong language, contains untranslated or missing passages, or will not open in a compatible reader, contact support within seven calendar days after the EPUB becomes available. Once we confirm the problem, we will correct and resend the EPUB within seven calendar days. You are entitled to a full refund if the correction does not resolve the problem, is impossible, or is not completed within that deadline. Intentionally preserved names and quotations are excluded from untranslated-text claims.

A complete translation with its structure preserved does not qualify for a commercial refund solely because of a preference for a different style. You may report non-delivery, payment problems or delays before the EPUB is available.

This commercial guarantee does not reduce any mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, refund or other consumer rights under applicable law. Accepting these Terms does not waive those mandatory rights.

Applicable rights and changes

Applicable mandatory law remains in force, including protections that may apply in your country of residence. These Terms do not require you to waive those rights or submit exclusively to a foreign court. We do not retroactively replace the terms recorded for an existing order. Updated terms will be dated and identified for future uploads.
